In 1999 the mayor of Grayling proclaimed March 5th as Fred Bear Day. Every year bow hunters and outdoor enthusiasts gather together to share their experiences and honor the legend himself. The gathering takes place in Grayling, MI and the annual event has grown from a one day event to a
three day celebration!
The weekend of celebration starts with a meet and greet, followed by a outdoor trade show the next day. The highlight of the weekend is the 21 Whistling Arrow Salute in remembrance of Fred Bear followed by a luncheon with guest speakers, live auction and raffles.
Tickets and event information will be made available on our website in January 2024. Please check our Facebook page "Fred Bear Day" for periodic updates.
Many opportunities for volunteers exist to make this a memorable weekend. Please message us if you would like to volunteer.
We appreciate everyone's support!
